Susan, right on! What keeps me going and what I try and share is how we move to "the next point of light". There is so much light, but sometimes it is hard to see it. If I can find the next point of light, I move to it and then to the next. Meryl was wonderful in It's Complicated and I will buy that DVD as soon as it comes out, watch it and laugh and laugh and laugh. Happy New Year.

Most of all, grateful my memory hasn't disappeared at 75 :-) Lots of interesting stuff there.

And to learn stressed backwards is desserts.

Okay, when we get together you will have to perform your solo.. actually I might be able to harmonize. the other thing that goes with this theme is the bumper sticker that says "I'm too blessed to be stressed."

When, at the enlightened age of nine and in the third grade, I entered a talent show and sang the song, How Much is that Doggie in the Window, I was so full of myself that I knew I had to be destined for personal fame and fortune. Little did I know that one day I would be grateful for the realization that life was not all about me. My family and my friends allow me to celebrate every day with purpose and commitment and for that, I am "Flipping Grateful to be Alive."

PS The judges made a mistake. I didn't win, but I was really good. ?

Thanks, Susan, for this! It's so easy to focus on the negative, the problems, the challenges in life. Even more so, I think, as we age. I don't think we can ever get too many reminders to be grateful for being alive.
