I love reading on my iPad because I can carry several books with me at a time and read what I’m in the mood for, wherever I am. I’m always in the middle of at least three books.

I love print books, too — it’s just a lovely convenience to read on my iPad. I buy more books now that I have an iPad than I did before, when I often relied on library books or second hand copies. Now I’m happy to buy a book from iBooks even if it’s brand new or a recent price winner.

I also pay for a digital subscription to the New York Times and read that on my iPad. I know I could skirt around the fee and read online, but I *want* to pay the NYT because they still employ journalists and still investigate news — something that has all but fallen away as people expect to get their news for free.
