What is a Juicy Tomato?

A Juicy Tomato is what author and journalist Susan Swartz calls certain women who are over 50 and beyond. But not just any woman over 50.

These are women who are ripe and lush and still on the vine. Not perfectly shaped. A bit sun damaged and tossed around by the wind and rain… you get the metaphor. But still full of life and certainly challenging the tired old beliefs that after 50 it’s all over.
